The rip fence is aluminium section allowing for two working positions (ripping and angled ripping). It is fixed to a cast iron mounting bracket for rigidity and has integral micro adjustment. The head itself is counterbalanced by a weight, giving fingertip control to the rise and fall and eliminating the breakages associated with spring type mechanisms. Its 1.1kw industrial fan cooled motor provides ample power for continuous duties and is fitted with a fully guarded adjustable chuck. Unlike a collet type system the chuck holds the auger firmly round its circumference, true to the centre line of the chisel, securing longer tool life and better cutting capability. The table has longitudinal and lateral movement on a single handwheel, not only for ease of operation, but also for more precise positioning: lateral adjustment of the table being better controlled by a central screw. The angled timber clamp is adjustable on a tee slot, to give a maximum timber width of 200mm. Coupled with the height adjustable chisel head which can give a maximum timber height of 255mm underneath the chisel, the Sedgwick 571 has exceptional capability. For repetition work there are longitudinal stops along the front of the table, a marking out rail complete with turnover stop along the rear; and 2 position depth stop for haunching. A combination of static and rotating blades gradually chops the material into smaller and smaller pieces. Once the material reaches a small enough size it passes out through a mesh filter and into a collection bin. This model is the 3phase version. When not in use, a lockable cover can be fitted over the inlet chute, ensuring that no unwanted debris enters the machine. The Process: Wash out your old cartons Shred them in the R25 Schredder, reducing their volume by 95% and creating a usable material. At this stage, you can choose to put the waste for normal recycling, or to re-process it within school, in either of two ways: Use it directly in the CR Clarke 25 Injection Moulding Machine. (490-170) Heat it on a mould-plate and then roll it into a new sheet using the R30 Sheet Press (490-048).

This range of strip heaters will handle most common thermoplastics. It operates using multiple low voltage hot wires. The heating wires produce an accurate and controllable line of heat to give sharp bends. The hinged top section incorporates cut-off switching to turn the heating wires off while loading and unloading.

The R30 Sheet Press converts granulated thermoplastic material into a usable form using heat and pressure. As standard, the formed article is a flat plastic sheet, which can typically be used for vacuum forming, laser cutting, line bending etc. There are also tools available for making shaped parts, for example Frisbees, on the machine. A removable material cassette is loaded with granules of the material to be pressed. For best results the granules are sprinkled uniformly over the base of the cassette. The cassette is then loaded into the R30 sheet press, and clamped firmly between two temperature controlled aluminium hotplates. The heat and pressure causes the material granules to soften and fuse. At the end of the pressing cycle, the material cassette is unloaded and allowed to cool. The formed sheet of material can then be removed and used. As standard the R30 produces a sheet 457 x 305mm (compatible with the 725FLB vacuum former).
