This comprehensive kit with a ray box and 29 optical components is ideal for performing a large variety of reflection, refraction, and colour mixing experiments. The ray box consists of a 12 V, 24 W halogen lamp producing convergent, divergent or parallel beams. One end contains an adjustable cylindrical convex lens (for parallel beam), and on the other end a triple aperture system for colour mixing experiments (lateral aperture is provided with adjustable hinged mirror). An economical LED Ray Box, housed in traditional die cast enclosure. The unit is supplied with slit plate and battery pack as power source, which requires 2 x AA batteries (not included). The battery pack plugs into 4 mm sockets mounted on the Ray Box.Please note that when using a power supply, it must be DC and the volatge must not exceed 3 V. A higher voltage will blow the LED and invalidate the warranty. However, the LED assembly can be replaced. Takes 45 mm wide accessories.
