The standard equipment for the DS 430S has the same specifications as the DS 430 on page 133, except for the Brazing Equipment which is listed below right. BRAZING STANDARD EQUIPMENT • 1 asbestos-free heat resistant refractory hearth • 2 full size heat reflective blocks • 4 half size heat reflective blocks • Push button no volt release starter (requires manual restart after power failure) • 1 RF 80 brazing torch
• Easy and safe to use in a general classroom environment requiring only a standard 13amp 230VAC socket. • Does not require a separate extraction system. • Cool to the touch as its unique cooling system keeps the entire casing cool. • Fully operational in approx. 15 minutes. • Thermostatically controlled without manual intervention at either 250°C or 150°C. • Designed to use lead-free metals including pewter (which melts at approx. 245°C) and also a lower melting point alloy (at approx. 137°C). • Internal melting pot has a clearly labelled swivel lid for observing the state of the molten metal and adding new material. • Moulds manufactured in vulcanised rubber, MDF, soap, woods, cuttle fish and many other materials are suitable. • Lesson plans are simple. • Risk assessment is clear. Supplied with: • 1 x Vulcanised Rubber Mould, Mould Holder and Clip • 5 x Sticks of Lead-Free Pewter (120-116) which are pre-melted into the melting pot ready for use. • Selector Switch for High/Low Temperature Control • Spill Tray
This is a modular systemthat can be used for a variety of welding operations such as gas welding and cutting, electric welding, plasma cutting, soldering and brazing. The Welding station can be specified as just a simple table right up to a multipurpose welding station which includes curtains and an extraction arm. Fume Extraction required. Overall height with upstand and curtain fitted is: 2050mm Features: • Heavy Duty Height adjustable table with variable working height 670mm to 785 mm (W1240mm x D790) • Replaceable arc striking plate • Weight 100kg Image shows complete welding station with all optional extras.
Supplied with a solid refractory hearth with robust side and rear heat shields, the DS400 complies with British Gas standards and is a fully failsafe system. All sequences are visually displayed using neon indicators. On start-up the gas train, hoses and torches are tested for escaping gas. Leaks from any component will result in a continuously illuminated red neon and the main flow of gas will be prevented from entering the system. • Perfect for use in school design technology workshops or industry use, i.e. jewellery workshops. • Easy-to-use RF80 brazing torch allows one-hand operation • A solid refractory hearth with robust side and rear heat shields • A fully fail safe system, compliant with British Standards • All sequences are visually displayed using neon indicators
The forge has a single phase whisper quiet integral fan to provide the air supply and takes only 15 minutes to reach a working temperature. It can reach a temperature of 1,500°C. It has a 340mm diameter working area and can work up to 50mm steel bar. The ceramic chip technology minimises surface scale formation. The forge has a single phase whisper quiet integral fan to provide the air supply with fail safe auto ignition for the gas supply. The forge has a cast iron base for a long maintenance free life. • Push-button no-volt release starter • Requires manual restart after power failure • Ceramic Hearth • Automatic safety check of controls and air fan • Full manual control of hearth conditions • Whisper quiet air blower fan • Indicator status lights • Gas non-return valve • 12.5kg of ceramic chippings • Operation / Instruction manual • Side and rear heat shields • Rake iron • Can be run on either Natural Gas or LPG bottled gas

It has a 340mm diameter working area and can work up to 50mm steel bar. The ceramic chip technology minimises surface scale formation. The brazing hearths both have an area of 0.23 square metres with heavy duty refractory bases. One or both of the RF80 brazing torches, which deliver up to 80,000BTU of heat output, can be replaced by Flamefast RF10 jewellery torches for fine work. All Flamefast RF torches have a single hand-wheel control to give ease of flame control and a constant flame pattern over the range of flame sizes. The torches are ignited electronically. • Especially useful where space limitations are a consideration • Unit consists of a ceramic chip forge and two brazing hearth usually equipped with 2 Flamefast RF80 brazing torches • Can be run on either Natural Gas or LPG bottled gas • Shown with Varivac extraction canopy
Tilt & pour feature provides safer metal pouring and extended crucible life. Standard equipment: • Piezo ignition and flame failure device • Super efficient insulation • A10 capacity crucible pot • Crucible lid • Tilt handle • Pouring gauge • Degassing plunger • Skimming ladle/dross lifter • Safety burner • Cut-out prevents burner from operating when the drum is tilted • Operation/Instruction manual
