This power supply delivers stabilised DC voltage, continuously adjustable between 0 and 6 kV. For safety, the current is limited by a built-in series resistance. The short-circuit current is 2 mA max. Under load, the voltmeter shows the actual supplied voltage. The power supply is also capable of delivering 6.3 V (max. 3 A) AC. This is the standard voltage for many electron tubes etc. On the front, you find a yellow/green ground socket, connected to the metal enclosure and hence (through the mains wire) to earth.
