The 320 Dome Blowing Unit consists of a rigid base with a heat-proof seal plate that has perforations to allow air to be injected. A sheet of thermoplastic material, normally cast acrylic, is heated in an oven to its softening temperature. The material is transferred to the Dome Blowing Unit and is clamped into position.
Air is blown under the sheet using the control valve on the front panel, inflating the dome. An adjustable height gauge assists the user to achieve consistent dome heights. Once cooled, the dome is unclamped and is immediately ready to use.
The 320 requires an external air supply, this can come from a compressed air supply or the Pressure Outlet of one of our Vacuum Forming Machines.
The 320 is supplied with rings to make domes of 300, 225 and 150mm in diameter.
It uses a 125 watt motor and router bit combination mounted in a unit measuring 355 x 380 x 380mm. The combined fence and guard protects the user from the cutter and enables fine detail to be trimmed safely. It will trim right up to an edge or leave a flange as desired.
Single phase industrial motor. Swarf collection duct. Angled work support table.
Foot switch operated for safety.
Supplied with 3mm dia. slot drill.
The 280 has a fine heating wire capable of cutting expanded polystyrene materials up to 250mm in thickness. Variable power to the wire is supplied from the low voltage transformer housed in the base of the machine.
Freehand shapes can be cut with ease, while the machine table also has grooves to accept the accessories supplied with each machine:
• Parallel Guide
• Protractor Guide for non-parallel cuts
• Circle Cutter
Fluidised baths consist of a tank to hold thermoplastic powder, a plenum box and a porous membrane. When low pressure high volume air is blown through the powder via the plenum box it causes the powder to lift and disperse thus behaving like a liquid and permits immersion of a preheated metal component.
• Everything needed to carry out dip coating with plastic powders
• Contains: Model 300 and 150 fluidised bath, Model 120 blower unit and stand
• 670 x 700 x 770mm
A kit of parts for replacing the silicone seals etc on popular vacuum formers.
If your machine is not performing well, the filter may also need replacing. Includes silicone seal, platen seal filter element & adhesive
This machine features a temperature controlled heating barrel, rack and pinion injection ram, over centre mould closing, automatic moulding ejection and is supplied with a wheel mould (flat upper & shaped lower mould) and 2kgs of red polystyrene granules.
To operate the machine, plastic granules are loaded into the heating barrel. After a short pre-heat time, the plastic is ready to inject. The mould is closed and the injection ram lowered. This action automatically opens a valve in the injection nozzle and the plastic is injected.
Once the mould is full the ram is retracted. The heating barrel rises on its return springs, closing the valve. After cooling the mould is opened and the moulding is ejected by pins in the mould cavity.
Requires permanent fixing or bolting down. Safe and easy to use.
The 180 combines a heated wire on a tensioned bow, ideal for cutting expanded polystyrene models, with a horizontal wire or strip heating of rigid plastic materials. This compact unit is ideal for smaller workshops.
Service kit for replacing silicon seal on the CR Clarke 1210 Vacuum Former. Service kit includes: silicone seal, platen seal, adhesive, and primer.
NOTE: If your machine is not performing well, the filter may also need replacing.

This folding jig from C R Clarke is a useful accessory to their range of strip heaters. The jig has a working length of 600mm and is adjustable from 160° obtuse to 30° acute.
The jig's calibrated protractors ensure consistent setting, with hand knobs for easy adjustment. The adjustable work stops can also be used to hold the material in the folding jig, allowing the operator to continue with other work while the folded material cools.

The R25 is an industrial quality plastic granulator. Suitable materials for recycling include PP, HIPS, ABS and LDPE. Materials to be granulated are loaded into the hopper at the top of the machine. A combination of static and rotating blades gradually chops the material into smaller and smaller pieces. Once the material reaches a small enough size it passes out through a mesh filter and into a collection bin.
This model is the 3phase version.
When not in use, a lockable cover can be fitted over the inlet chute, ensuring that no unwanted debris enters the machine.
The Process:
Wash out your old cartons
Shred them in the R25 Schredder, reducing their volume by 95% and creating a usable material.
At this stage, you can choose to put the waste for normal recycling, or to re-process it within school, in either of two ways:
Use it directly in the CR Clarke 25 Injection Moulding Machine. (490-170)
Heat it on a mould-plate and then roll it into a new sheet using the R30 Sheet Press (490-048).

Heat it on a mould-plate and then roll it into a new sheet using the R30 Sheet Press (490-048).
The R30 Sheet Press converts granulated thermoplastic material into a usable form using heat and pressure. As standard, the formed article is a flat plastic sheet, which can typically be used for vacuum forming, laser cutting, line bending etc. There are also tools available for making shaped parts, for example Frisbees, on the machine.
A removable material cassette is loaded with granules of the material to be pressed. For best results the granules are sprinkled uniformly over the base of the cassette. The cassette is then loaded into the R30 sheet press, and clamped firmly between two temperature controlled aluminium hotplates. The heat and pressure causes the material granules to soften and fuse.
At the end of the pressing cycle, the material cassette is unloaded and allowed to cool. The formed sheet of material can then be removed and used.
As standard the R30 produces a sheet 457 x 305mm (compatible with the 725FLB vacuum former).
