Hotplate Stirrers

Designed with microprocessor-controlled dual thermocouples, this stirring hot plate offers accurate temperature control and protection from overheating. The analogue models feature a coloured LED indicator which surrounds the heat control knob illuminating the actual surface temperature in real time. Powerful magnets and motor provide stirring speeds of up to 2000 rpm and mixing capability of up to 15 L of liquid. The square plate design allows flexibility of vessel sizes and combinations. Up to four 250 mL beakers can easily fit on the surface at the same time. To keep you safe, a “hot” warning light flashes whenever the plate surface temperature is above 50°C and continues to flash until the temperature drops below 50°C, even when unplugged. The unit includes BioCote antimicrobial protection which reduces the presence of odour and stain causing microbes such as bacteria, mould, and fungi on the product surface by up to 99.99%. Formulated from silver ion additives, BioCote provides built-in antimicrobial protection to support a more hygienic laboratory environment. This model includes an integral fitting for a retort rod and allows the retort base to slide underneath. Featuring a chemically resistant glass ceramic top plate that stays cool around the edges to help prevent burns. This robust hotplate and magnetic stirrer is made of stainless steel with a ceramic to coating resist corrosion. It also has a separated safety circuit which will automatically stop heating when temperature reaches 350 degrees. The variable speed motor is designed to stay at a constant speed even during change in load. High magnetic adhesion ensures that the stirrer bar stays stable at the bottom of the container. It features an enclosed assembly with protection class IP42 and a DC brushless motor which guarantees long product life. A block heater, ST150115 is available as an accessory.
