The food calorimeter offers superior method of measuring the energy in foodstuff, compared to burning it under boiling tube of water. The enclosed vessel and copper tube ensure that more of the food's energy is used to heat up the water, and less heat is lost to the environment, increasing the accuracy of the experiment. Sodium benzoate test paper detects the genetic ability to taste Sodium Benzoate. The taste detected varies from sweet, salty, to bitter, depending upon the individual. Homozygous-dominant and Heterozygous-dominant individuals will detect the molecule. 1.Remove a strip of test paper from the vial. 2.Stick out your tongue and place the strip on your tongue. 3.You may not taste anything, but if you do, there are three basic results: sweet, salty, and bitter.

This laser emits an intense monochromatic red beam of wavelength 630 nm at 0.9 mW (Class II operation). Typical beam divergence is approximately 1 millirad.
